Prominent Green Vehicle Models Set to Hit the Market Soon

 The electrification trend is forecast to continue to increase strongly in Vietnam in 2024 as the automobile market prepares to welcome more electric and hybrid car models.

Entering 2024, the green car segment promises to expand as many car manufacturers are "preparing" to introduce more new models and versions, including hybrid and pure electric cars.


Below are some "green car" models expected to arrive in the Vietnamese market in the near future.


Toyota Corolla Cross 2024


After launching in Thailand in February, Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 will officially launch in the Vietnamese market on May 6. The 1.8 HEV (hybrid) version has an expected selling price of 905 million VND, 50 million VND lower than the previous generation.


The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross has been slightly upgraded on the exterior with a new grille and front LED lights in addition to a number of other improvements.


Mitsubishi Xpander HEV


Like the Corolla Cross, the Xpander HEV version launched in the Thai market earlier this year. With inherent attraction in the Vietnamese market, the electrified version of this MPV model is also expected by many customers to soon arrive in the domestic market.


Basically, the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV has an appearance no different from the gasoline version. The Japanese automaker only added a few blue details to identify the hybrid vehicle on the front/rear bumpers and side of the car; At the same time add the HEV logo.


Omoda E5


After establishing a joint venture with Vietnam's Geleximco group, Chery's Omoda car company plans to launch the E5 electric car model on the domestic market at the end of 2024.


Omoda E5 is a pure electric version of Omoda 5, belonging to the B high chassis segment. Previously the car was launched in Malaysia with a starting price of 146,800 RM (equivalent to about 770 million VND).


The Omoda E5 electric SUV is expected to be brought to Vietnam by the joint venture Geleximco and Omoda this year.


BYD Atto 3


According to many sources, electric car company BYD will soon be present in Vietnam this year. If this comes true, BYD Atto 3, Seal and Dolphin are expected to be the first three products of the brand to arrive in our country's market.


Prominent among them is Atto 3 - BYD's best-selling electric SUV model in the international market in 2023 with 100,020 vehicles.


Haval Jolion


According to information leaked from some Haval dealers, their next hybrid model after the H6 HEV, Jolion, is expected to launch in the Vietnamese market at the end of April.


Haval Jolion is positioned in the B-class urban SUV segment and competes with a series of names of the same size such as: Kia Seltos, Mitsubishi Xforce, Hyundai Creta... Sales consultants said that this model will be available from only 700 million. copper.
