In just 3 weeks, the company received 1,800 orders for the 5-door version. This is quite a good achievement for a newly launched car model. However, even though it is a hot car model, a few thousand orders are not worth the company spending money that could amount to millions of dollars to expand capacity and build a factory.
However, based on increasing consumer interest in the Suzuki Jimny, the Japanese car company does not completely rule out the possibility of bringing production to Southeast Asia, more specifically Indonesia. It all depends on demand and actual sales of the Suzuki Jimny in the next few months.
